What does auto and manual mean for reports?

There are two types of sources for a report – auto and manual. This article explains these two types and the differences between them.

.Manual = scan run time based

Manual source for a report means that the report will be based on a specific network or web application scan run time. E.g. let’s say you have a network scan running every week, then you can have a report based on that specific scan.

Auto = host based

Automatic source for a report means that the report will be based on the actual data from the hosts you select. In other word, you will get the actual data from the hosts you select in the report. Hosts can be selected by IP range and/or tags.
