The business impact factor is an easy way to filter out your most and least vulnerable assets. If selecting a certain business impact on an asset or tag, the vulnerability manager will take this into consideration when defining the severity of your vulnerabilities.
Here are the steps you can follow to change the business impact:
Directly in the window:
- Login to Security Center.
- Click on Asset Manager.
Click on Web Application or Tags to change their business impact.
- In the column Business Impact – Click on the text for the asset you would like to change. In the window that will appear, click on the desired business impact level.
- Click OK.
- Done!
Editing the asset:
- Login to Security Center.
- Click on Asset Manager.
Click on Web Application or Tags to change their business impact.
- Click on the
symbol to the right of the asset/tag you would like to edit.
- Click on the desired business impact level.
- Click OK.
- Done!
There is also a way to change multiple assets at once:
- Login to Security Center
- Click on Asset Manager.
Click on Web Application or Tags to change their business impact.
- Check the box to the left of the assets you would like to change.
- In the top of the window, click Set Business Impact.
- Click on the desired business impact level.
- Done!
All assets that was checked will now have a the new business impact level.

- Business impact set on the asset have the highest priority.
- If no business impact is set on the asset the highest business impact set on related tags is used.
