Why is my appliance busy but not connected?

The scanner appliance may loose connection over 1 or more ports due to changes in customer firewalls or other changes in the customers network environment. Most of the times a simple re-boot will solve this issue. Follow the steps here on how to re-boot the scanner appliance.
