How do I add IPv6 addresses and networks to assets?

  1. Login to Security Center.
  2. Click Asset Manager in the main menu.
  3. Click on +Add asset.
  4. Under the headline General information enter the following:
    • Business impact: this property is used for prioritizing vulnerabilities and used to calculate the Overall business risk in reports.
    • Type: here select Host which means single host.
  5. Under the headline Network addresses enter the following:
    • Asset name: a name for the asset, like Primary database server. (if you leave this blank it will add the DNS name after a scan has been conducted)
    • IP: the range or host's IP number.  
    • Examples: 
    • 2a00:1450:400f:807::200e
    • 2a0b:6800:0:0:0:0:0:40/126
    • 2a02:6980:2005::/64
  6. Under the headline Tags you search and check one or more tags that you want to add to the asset.
  7. Under the headline Host attribute enter the following:
    • Owner: select the owner of the asset.
    • Description: here you can enter a description for the asset.
  8. Click OK.
  9. Done!
