How do I enable JavaScript scanning for a web asset?

Many modern web applications build content and features entirely in JavaScript. This content differs from traditional HTML, and to ensure the assessment can render and test it, JavaScript scanning must be enabled.

Enable JavaScript scanning

  1. Log in to your Security Center.

  2. In the main navigation bar, hover over Assets.

  3. From the dropdown menu, select Web applications & APIs.

  4. Click the Edit icon next to the web application you want to enable JavaScript scanning for.

  5. Select Scan settings and enable JavaScript scanning.

  6. Click OK to save your changes.

Once enabled, the assessment will render and test JavaScript-driven content during assessments.
