How do I avoid unwanted login attempts when scanning?
If experience issues with login attempts made by the network scanner, you can resolve this by excluding the tests that does the login attempts. Follow these steps to exclude the tests.- Login to Security Center.
- Click Scan Network > Scan Profiles.
- Find the scan profile you use for your scans by its name, such as "Network scan profile - Standard" ,and click the Edit option at the far right of the row.
- In the window menu, click Vulnerabilities and, under the headline Stability, select the following options.
- Skip tests that perform active login attempts
- Skip tests that perform active break-in attempts
- Click Submit.
- Done!
Default scan profile options
These tests are included by default in any scan profile you create. Some vulnerabilities may be labeled as fixed in your following scan result by excluding these tests.
