How do I change business impact on assets?

The business impact factor is an easy way to filter out your most and least vulnerable assets. If selecting a specific business impact on an asset or tag, the vulnerability manager will consider this when defining the severity of your vulnerabilities.

Here are the steps you can follow to change the business impact:

1. Log in to Security Center.
2. Hover mouse over Assets.
3. Click on Hosts & networks or Web applications & APIs depending on what asset you want to change.
4. In the column Business Impact – Click on the text for the asset you want to change. Click on the desired business impact level in the window that will appear.
5. Click OK.
6. Done!

 There is also a way to change multiple assets at once:

1. Log in to Security Center.
2. Hover mouse over Assets.
3. Click on Hosts & networks or Web applications & APIs depending on what asset you want to change.
4. Click on Actions - Set business impact.
5. Click on the desired business impact level.
6. Done!

All assets that was checked will now have a the new business impact level.

Hierarchy for business impact

If you have assigned the business impact to the article by choosing it to be inherited from the tags, this will take priority over the business impact selected manually on an individual asset.
