How do I create a remediation ticket for a vulnerability manually?
Tickets can easily be created from Vulnerability Manager. Follow the steps below to create a ticket for a specific vulnerability.
Create tickets via the remediation rule.
If you wish to have tickets created automatically for new vulnerabilities, please read this article:
How do I create a Remediation Rule?
- Log in to Security Center.
- Click Vulnerability Manager in the main menu.
- In the Vulnerability unified view, select the specific vulnerability for which you wish to create a ticket.
- Jump to Assets in the vulnerability view.
- Select one or more assets by marking the box to the left of each asset > click Actions > Choose to create a ticket for each asset or a grouped ticket for all the selected assets.
- The ticket settings menu will pop up, and you can select whether to choose:
- The default settings (Asset owner) will create individual tickets for each owner when the selected assets have different owners
- Select a specific Team.
- Type in a description for the created ticket.
- Select an additional assignee from the user list.
- Set the due date for how long this ticket should be solved.
- The ticket settings menu will pop up, and you can select whether to choose:
- Click Submit to create the ticket(s)
- Done!
Pro tip!
The default setting (Asset owner) can assign these tickets to a Team.
You need to ensure that you have a Teams setup ready and that the Asset owner has inherited from the Teams.
See this article for how to assign an asset to the Teams: https://support.holmsecurity.com/knowledge/how-do-i-assign-the-asset-ownership-to-teams
