How do I solve issues with the guest operating system in VMware 6.5?
Users may experience VMware-specific problems when trying to start the probe (e.g., "The guest operating system 'debian8_64Guest' is not supported").
Solution
- Right-click on the probe VM, click "Compatibility" > "Upgrade VM compatibility" > "Yes".
- When having the option to choose "Compatible with," use the default option, e.g., "ESXi 6.5 and later" or "Workstation 12 and later" and so on, and then press "OK". The probe should now be able to start.
