How do I use the sitemap to run faster web assessments?

You can use a sitemap to speed up web assessments by allowing the scanner to reuse previously discovered application paths instead of re-discovering them each time.

Step 1: Run a discovery scan and store the sitemap

1. Log in to your Security Center.

2. In the main navigation bar, hover over Assessments.

3. From the dropdown menu, select Scans.

4. Click Add new scan → Web scan → Discovery scan.

5. Select your target and enable Store sitemap.

6. Complete the required fields under General information.

7. Click Run.

Once the discovery scan is complete, the sitemap is automatically saved for the selected target.

Step 2: Reuse the sitemap in a vulnerability scan

1. In the main navigation bar, hover over Assessments.

2. From the dropdown menu, select Scans.

3. Click Add new scan → Web scan → Vulnerability scan.

4. Select the same target used in the discovery scan.

5. Enable Reuse sitemap.

6. Complete the required fields under General information.

7. Click Run.

Reusing the sitemap allows the scanner to skip the discovery phase, resulting in faster vulnerability assessments.
