This lifecycle management feature for network assets lets you customize how assets are managed over time.

To enable data retention, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your Security Center
  2. Click on the settings menu in the top right corner.
  3. Click on Assets.
  4. Click Enable and choose the desired inactive period to define when an asset should be classified as inactive when it hasn't been identified in scans for a specified period. The options are 30, 60, 90, 120 and 365 days.
  5. Click OK to save the changes.
  6. Done!

Inactive assets still hold asset data
An inactive asset that was previously active, that still holds asset data.

Deletion after inactivation
Deactivated assets are deleted permanently after 36 months.
