Tickets

How do I apply a solution on a remediation ticket?

Remediation provides you with the option of applying manual statuses and automatic ones.
You can manually mark vulnerabilities as “Solution applied” to track ongoing fixes you and your team have remedied.

Automatic ticket validation
With automatic confirmation, the scans will apply the fixed status once the solution is confirmed to fix the vulnerabilities and the remediation is completed.

Single ticket

To apply a solution to a single ticket, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to Security Center.
  2. Click on the Remediation.
  3. Filter out the ticket to which you want to apply the solution.
  4. Click on the information icon to the right or on the ticket itself.
  5. Click on the Asset from the pop-up window on the right.
  6. Scroll down to the findings where this vulnerability has been detected, e.g., the port if it's a network asset or the URL if it's a web app asset. Mark the circle icon on the left of the port/URL, which will change the color to orange.
  7. The status of the ticket will be updated to Solution Applied.
  8. Once a scan has run on the asset and the vulnerability is confirmed to be solved, the ticket's status will change to Fixed, which will be shown in green.
  9. Done!.

Grouped tickets

If the vulnerability is detected on multiple ports or URLs and a grouped ticket is created, the view will change to allow you to mark the whole asset as fixed instead of separately marking each port/URL.

To apply a solution to a grouped ticket, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to Security Center.
  1. Click on the Remediation.
  2. Filter out the ticket to which you want to apply the solution.
  3. Click on the information icon to the right or on the ticket itself.
  4. Click on the Asset from the pop-up window on the right.
  5. Mark the circle icon on the left of the asset, which will change its color to orange, and the ticket's status will be updated to Solution Applied.
  6. To see which ports/URLs are included in the applied fix, hover over the binoculars icon on the right of the asset.
  7. Scroll down to the findings where this vulnerability has been detected, e.g., the port if it's a network asset or the URL if it's a web app asset. You can unmark the orange circle icon on the left of the port/URL, which will not be included in the fix. The circle should change to the default color (white/clear).
  8. Once you have removed one or more ports/URLs, the ticket status will update to In progress.
  9. Once the asset has been scanned and the vulnerabilities resolved, the ticket's status will change to Fixed for these marked ports/URLs, shown in green, and the progress bar will be updated.
  10. Done!.
