What do I need to prepare for the first installation of OnPrem?
On-premise is delivered as virtual machine (VM) images in OVA file format. To ensure a smooth deployment and implementation process, carefully review the requirement segments in this article.
Network Configurations
Examine the network communication requirements carefully and ensure that you configure the network settings appropriately before initiating the deployment.

System Requirements
Review the different deployment options based on the intended scope you are going to cover.

Items to consider when deploying the OVA images
- Disk size on the virtual machines needs to be adjusted to the correct size before they are booted for the first time.
- The Compatibility sometimes needs to be upgraded on the VM to work: https://support.holmsecurity.com/knowledge/how-do-i-solve-issues-with-the-guest-operating-system-in-vmware-6.5.
- Sometimes, the guest operation system must be set on the VM to Other Linux 64bit for the VM to boot.
- Confirm that external communication is opened according to the documentation.
- Ensure information such as DNS, NTP, Network IP, and SMTP are collected and ready.
- Confirm that the correct network interface is attached to the VM.
